1. Information We Process
ArcadiaVPN processes limited information required to provide the VPN service and support core app functions. Depending on how you use the app, this may include:
- Basic app and device information used in operational diagnostics, such as app version, operating system version, and device model.
- VPN connection information such as the selected region, connection state, connection start time, masked exit IP address displayed in the app, and upload or download traffic statistics shown during an active session.
- Technical configuration values required to establish the VPN tunnel, such as gateway host, port, and a device-local session identifier.
- Diagnostic information generated to identify crashes, connection failures, or service errors.
- Information you voluntarily provide when contacting support.
ArcadiaVPN does not currently provide account registration.
2. VPN and Network Data
ArcadiaVPN routes network traffic through a VPN tunnel to provide its core service. The app itself is not designed to read or store the content of websites, messages, or files passing through the tunnel.
Network traffic must pass through the VPN or proxy infrastructure used to provide the service. Relevant infrastructure providers may process network requests and connection metadata as necessary to transmit traffic, authenticate access, operate the network, detect abuse, or comply with law.
The app may contact public IP lookup or connectivity verification services to confirm that the tunnel is usable and display the VPN exit IP address. Those services may receive the VPN egress IP address and standard technical request metadata.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, and secure VPN connectivity.
- Troubleshoot connection issues and improve product stability.
- Remember a selected region and stable device-local session values for consistent reconnection.
- Respond to support requests and operational inquiries.
- Prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized use of the service.
4. Permissions
The app requests system capabilities necessary for its functions, including VPN permission to create and manage the tunnel, network access to detect connectivity and operate the service, and notification permission where required to display foreground service notifications.
5. Advertising and Third-Party Services
ArcadiaVPN may use third-party services for VPN infrastructure, connectivity verification, advertising, app distribution, and email support. These providers may process limited technical information under their own privacy terms when necessary to deliver their services.
Advertising providers may receive device or advertising identifiers, approximate location inferred from IP address, app interaction data, and standard request metadata where permitted by applicable law and device settings. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data Sharing
Limited information may be disclosed only when reasonably necessary to operate and secure the service, use the third-party providers described above, comply with legal obligations, protect rights and safety, or respond to valid requests from authorities.
7. Data Retention
Selected region information, device-local session values, and encrypted connection provisioning values may remain on your device until replaced, app data is cleared, or the app is uninstalled. Temporary in-memory connection state exists only while needed for the active service.
Support communications may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to answer requests, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Third-party providers determine retention for information they independently process.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. Sensitive connection provisioning values stored by the app may be encrypted before being written to local storage. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
9. Your Choices
You may disconnect the VPN at any time, stop using the service, manage system permissions in device settings, reset applicable advertising choices through your device, clear locally stored app data, or uninstall the app. You may also contact us with privacy questions.
10. Children
The service is not directed to children under the minimum age required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the matter and take appropriate action.
11. International Processing
VPN servers, proxy gateways, advertising systems, or other technical providers may operate in countries other than your own. Information may therefore be processed internationally, subject to applicable legal safeguards.
12. Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised policy will be posted in the app or on this page with an updated effective date.
