This Privacy Policy explains how ArcWave Proxy VPN ("App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our Android application and related services. By installing or using the App, you confirm that you have reviewed this Privacy Policy.

1. Service Description

ArcWave Proxy VPN uses Android's VpnService API to create a device-level VPN tunnel and route traffic through selected VPN servers. The App is intended to provide secure network connectivity on supported Android devices.

A VPN session starts only after you approve Android's VPN permission prompt. You can disconnect at any time from the App or your device settings.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on App features you use and permissions you grant, we may process the following categories of data:

• Device and app information: Device model, OS version, app version, language, and technical identifiers needed to operate and support the App.
• Connection and performance data: VPN connection state, session duration, traffic volume, and service performance metrics used to maintain App reliability.
• Advertising-related data: If you enable advertising-related features, Google AdMob may collect advertising identifiers and related usage signals as described in Section 5.
• Crash and diagnostics data: If you enable diagnostics, Firebase Crashlytics may collect crash reports and technical logs as described in Section 6.
• Support communications: Information you provide when contacting us, such as your email address and message content.

We do not intentionally collect your contacts, photos, SMS content, or other personal files that are not required for core VPN operation. We also do not intentionally collect the content of your web pages or messages through the App.

3. Permissions We Request and Why

The App requests permissions that are necessary for VPN operation and related service functionality:

• android.permission.INTERNET: Required to establish and maintain VPN network communication.
• android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to detect network availability and improve connection stability.
• android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE: Required to run an active VPN connection as a foreground service.
• android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE: Used for VPN foreground service behavior on supported Android versions.
• android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+): Used to display required system notifications for an active VPN service.
• Android VPN consent (VpnService.prepare): Android asks for your explicit approval before VPN setup can proceed.

4. Foreground Notification

Android requires an ongoing foreground notification while a VPN is active. This notification may show connection status, session details, and traffic information to keep you informed about active VPN use.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

We may use Google AdMob to display ads and support App operations. AdMob and its partners may process data such as advertising IDs, device information, IP address, and ad interaction events to provide, measure, and improve ad services under their own policies.

You can control ad personalization through supported device settings. Where required by law, advertising features are only enabled after applicable notice and consent.

6. Crash Diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics)

We may use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and technical diagnostics to detect errors and improve stability. This may include device model, OS version, app version, and stack trace data.

7. Consent and User Choices

Where required under applicable law, non-essential data processing (such as personalized advertising or optional diagnostics) is enabled only after you provide consent.

You can change your choices through available in-app controls or by contacting us. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that occurred before your choice was updated.

8. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and secure VPN connectivity and App features.
• Display connection status, required notifications, and service information.
• Support ads and diagnostics features where applicable and permitted.
• Detect, prevent, and address technical or security issues.
• Respond to support requests and user communications.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable terms.

We do not sell personal information.

9. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may share limited data only as needed in the following situations:

• Service providers: With vendors that support App operations (for example, VPN infrastructure providers, cloud hosting, AdMob, and Firebase) under contractual or policy-based safeguards.
• Legal compliance: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or valid governmental request.
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer, subject to appropriate protections.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information in transit and at rest. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Because service providers and VPN infrastructure may operate in multiple countries, your data may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, we apply safeguards consistent with applicable law.

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
